Event Description

The Yale Spizzwinks(?), the world's oldest underclassman a cappella group, will be coming to San Francisco, CA this January to perform a special joint concert with Continuum, the professional alumni ensemble of Oakland's GRAMMY-winning Pacific Boychoir Academy.

Founded in 1914, the Spizzwinks(?) are an all-male a cappella group comprised of Yale undergraduates. Our concerts feature a unique blend of tight harmonies and humor, and we sing everything from jazz standards to modern day pop hits. Our recent tours have included performances everywhere from China to Columbia, South Africa to New Zealand, and across the United States. The Spizzwinks' fan club has grown to include Joe Biden, John Kerry, Chinese Vice Premier Liu Yangdong, and Lady Gaga!

Continuum is a high school a cappella group as comfortable in the 16th Century as the 21st. The professional, alumni ensemble of Oakland’s GRAMMY-winning Pacific Boychoir Academy, Continuum performs music ranging from sacred Renaissance motets to contemporary pop hits. The group performs annually throughout the San Francisco California Bay Area and internationally. They have recently released singles on iTunes, Spotify, and other popular music media sites, have been heard on the NBC television show “The Blacklist”, and have been top contenders in the national Harmony Sweepstakes.
